SSPI’s 24th Annual Gala Returns to the Grand Hyatt Washington
The Society of Satellite Professionals (SSPI) will host its 24th annual Gala on Tuesday, March 15, 2011. Returning to the Grand Hyatt in downtown Washington, D.C., the event will maintain its tradition of being held on the opening night of the SATELLITE conference.
The SSPI Gala is widely considered the satellite industry’s preeminent social and networking event of the year. It offers a unique opportunity to visit with clients, customers, suppliers, colleagues and industry friends. The satellite industry – carriers, service providers, manufacturers, launchers, insurers, regulators and investors – join the users of satellite capacity in media, government and business for an opening champagne reception, a gourmet meal, and end-of-evening dessert and cordials reception.
Additional special events that coincide with the Gala may also be of interest:
- This year, SSPI introduces the Stellar Awards Reception – an invitation-only gathering of sponsors and their guests before the Gala dinner. After networking in a quiet and intimate setting, guests will witness the presentation of the Stellar Award to a US Government civilian official or military leader in recognition of service to the nation using satellites.
- Induction of new members into the SSPI Hall of Fame. This event will be held in conjunction with the aforementioned reception
