SSPI Announces 2026–2027 Board of Directors and New Board-Level Vice Presidencies
(June 23, 2026 – New York, NY) – Space & Satellite Professionals International (SSPI) today announced its 2026–2027 Board of Directors, led by Andrew Faiola of Astroscale as Chairman and Kidsan Barnes of Quvia as President.
SSPI thanks the members of its Board of Directors for their commitment to the association and to the people of the space and satellite industry. SSPI also extends special thanks to James Trevelyan of Speedcast for his years of officer service to the association.
Trevelyan recommended extending the President and Chair roles to two-year terms to give each leader more opportunity to grow into the role and provide continuity for the Board. He became the first SSPI leader to serve two years as President followed by two years as Chair. Faiola, who has served two years as President, now begins his first year as Chair under that leadership model.
SSPI also congratulates Kidsan Barnes of Quvia on her election to her first term as SSPI President. As President, Barnes will take a leading role in championing SSPI’s new service project, which will be announced later this month.
“SSPI is deeply grateful for the commitment of the leaders who volunteer their time, judgment and relationships in service to the association,” said Tamara Bond-Williams, Executive Director, SSPI. “Their work helps SSPI strengthen its value to members, chapters, affiliates, corporate partners and the broader space and satellite community.”
The 2026–2027 Board also includes new board-level vice presidencies designed to focus leadership attention on critical areas of SSPI’s development. David Marshack of AST SpaceMobile will serve as VP, Chapter & Affiliate Strategy, and Alexis Martin of River Advisors will serve as VP, Governance & Member Engagement.
These roles reflect SSPI’s continuing work to deepen engagement across the association. The evolution builds on the Chapter Leaders Breakfast introduced in 2025, expanded into a broader Leadership Breakfast in 2026, and now planned to advance into an ongoing quarterly leadership teleconference and, eventually, an annual meeting. Together, these steps are intended to create more regular, substantive connection among SSPI’s Board, chapters, affiliates, members and stakeholders.
The 2026–2027 SSPI Board of Directors includes Andrew Faiola, Kidsan Barnes, David Marshack, Alexis Martin, Leslie Blaker-Glass, Daniel Gizinski, Jamie Graham, Stella Guillen, Stephen Hanna, Lisa Henke, Mark Mozena, James Trevelyan and Shruti Vyas.he 2026–2027 SSPI Board of Directors includes:
