New from the Better Satellite World: "Safe Launch"
23 Sep 2025
(September 23, 2025 – New York City) – Space & Satellite Professionals International (SSPI) has released its newest video in the Better Satellite World campaign: Safe Launch. The video explores what it takes to launch safely to space. Safe Launch was made possible with the generosity of the American Space Exploration Fund and Artel.
This video is part of theSecuring the Future of Spacecampaign, which is underwritten by the American Space Exploration Fund. Securing the Future of Space explores the critical steps needed to safeguard our shared orbital resources.
“We’re grateful to the American Space Exploration Fund for making it possible to tell these stories about the incredible challenge of Securing the Future of Space. Launch activity is growing fast—up more than 30 to 40 percent year over year in some cases—and that makes today’s video, also supported by Artel, a really timely addition to our Better Satellite World library.” said executive director Tamara Bond-Williams.
Inside the Story Getting to space is risky, and keeping people safe through every launch takes constant planning. Rockets are regulated, flight paths are cleared, and safeguards are built in from the ground up. As the cadence of rocket launches increases, safety is critical to the success of the mission.
