Comtech Space Components and Antennas Division is a leading provider of space-qualified components, high-performance innovative antenna solutions, and engineering services for ground station operations.

Intermediate level Systems Engineer candidate will support design and development of new ground station architecture as well as providing support for ground station operation and maintenance programs to ensure the operability of remotely located tracking stations.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Responsible for design, development, integration, test and operations and maintenance of both new and existing ground stations
• Support on-site station operations when required

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Electronics design experience for either: wired/wireless sensor systems, RF telemetry systems, robotics, battery powered electronics
• Electronics design review preparation experience, and providing documented analysis / calculations to meet design requirements with margin
• Experience drafting electrical and/or mechanical schematics using CAD (including Visio, AutoCAD, OrCAD, and other similar software)
• Troubleshooting experience for either: robotics, RF communications, electronics
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interface with international customers as well as team members and senior leadership
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills
• Must be flexible and able to handle occasional heavy workload
• Must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally, some of which will include multiple-week trips
• Willing to learn and expand systems knowledge
• Familiar with proposal activities and development
• Exposure to Software language, such as C++ would be plus  

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited college/university in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering. 
• 5+ years of experiences in one or more areas of followings: RF, antenna, baseband handling, digital processing, control and monitor processing, and network and satellite communication  
• Must be flexible and able to handle occasional heavy workload
• Must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally, some of which will include multiple-week trips
• Willing to learn and expand systems knowledge
• US Citizenship is required.
