  • ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

    You will work in a cross functional team environment and will provide technical leadership for new product introduction efforts, as well as contribute to sustaining efforts on existing products. You will need a comprehensive understanding of the system including its application, software, architecture, and hardware components and subsystems.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

    • Lead the technical projects for new product developments or subsystems based on the user requirements
    • Drive concept feasibilities during early product development phases and research programs
    • Lead planning activities, cost and timeline estimations as well as risk assessments
    • Track the progress of projects and develop technical mitigations with the team
    • Collaborate and lead cross-functional teams including product management, sales, marketing and customer care
    • Organize and manage project team members and teams to fully execute projects on time
    • Develop and effectively communicate detailed plans, requirements, designs, and verification activities to implement long-term solutions using proven design methodology
    • Lead design verification activities and drive and support technical documentation
    • Use proven problem-solving approaches, to investigate root cause

    COMPETENCIES

    • A digitally driven technical project manager with great curiosity and passion for the conception and implementation of projects in the context of complex system architectures
    • Well-founded know-how in classic project management (waterfall model) and agile approaches (Scrum) as well as extensive experience with various tools
    • Solid understanding of the dependencies between different systems and the ability to find digital solutions
    • Solid understanding of business systems such as ERP, CRM, CMS, marketing automation, customer portals
    • Proficiency in data analysis, and interpreting results to drive solution findings
    • Ability to break down problems into logical parts and communicate them in technical and business language

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    • Successfully completed studies in business informatics, computer science, software engineering or equivalent professional experience
    • + 3 years’ experience as a scientific or technical project lead in a process orientated environment
    • Experience developing design specification and test descriptions
    • Proven capability of leading, organizing, managing projects and documentation of project status
    • Relevant experience in project management and software solution development
    • High level of technical understanding of technical interrelations
    • Certification in one of the project process models is a plus
    • Very good communicative, analytical, social skills and assertiveness

    OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS 

    • High self-motivation for "getting things done" and solving development hurdles
    • Proficiency in data analysis, and interpreting results to drive solution findings
    • Customer and use case driven thinking
    • Problem solving skills, proactive approach, independent working and team-minded
    • Flexibility and adaptability to a constantly and fast changing environment
    • Fluent knowledge of written and spoken German
