OVERVIEW:   

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Commercial and Government Services, this position will have direct responsibility for sales of Eutelsat America Corp. (EAC) satellite services to the Government sales segment.  Will sell directly to customers and through distribution channels as required, including reseller/service integrators.  Will conduct direct and indirect customer negotiations and be responsible for the development of industry segment, account management and client negotiation strategies. Accountability for contributing to overall company revenue objectives, 

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  

  • BS degree or equivalent experience required in marketing, technology or in an engineering focused discipline. Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in engineering, satellite communications, technology, or a related discipline 

  • Minimum 5 years direct-line sales or satellite communications experience required  

  • Experience with various sized accounts; large account experience required 

  • Government sales expertise or satellite communications experience required 

 

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES: 

  • Ability to develop, lead and implement  sales-driven actions which include sales and revenue plans to meet and exceed the sales group’s  sales objectives and revenue goals 

  • Ability to develop and lead customer-specific offers and complex customer negotiations  

  • Ability to develop and manage customer specific sales plans, and manage the contract life cycle of all customers in the assigned segment 

  • Support intra- and inter-company sales teams to facilitate sales and marketing activities through customer meetings/negotiations,  strategy/planning meetings, joint sales calls, and representation at industry conferences 

  • Keep team current on customer and industry trends and opportunities, and resolving issues

  • Prepare proposals in response to formal and informal customer inquiries and participate with customers in identifying applications and strategic business solutions 

  • Demonstrated ability to function as part of a close knit highly experienced team 

  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and communications skills 

  • US Citizenship is required; government background investigation preferred 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal sitting and standing activities for an office environment along with use of office equipment and laptops.  General mobility to travel, attend and participate in meetings and industry events and trade shows. Domestic and international travel of up to 50% annually.
