Luis Fernando Carrasco

Originally from Mexico, Fernando (as he prefers to be called) is pursuing a Master of Science degree in Communication Technology and Policy at Ohio University, where he has been a student of Dr. Don Flournoy, Professor and Director of the Institute for Telecommunications Studies for Ohio University and SSPI’s Vice President of Education.  Fernando began his professional career as a teleport engineer in California.  He has also worked as a satellite network consultant on broadband satellite internet access projects in Mexico.  Dr. Don Flournoy invited Luis and other Ohio University students to the 2007 Satellite Show and the 2007 Gala, further solidifying Fernando’s commitment to pursuing a career in satellites.

Fernando received the PSSC Legacy Fund Scholarship in 2007.
