SatelliteTODAY to Power SSPI’s Online Career Center
New York City (May 6, 2010) – The Society of Satellite Professionals International (SSPI) announced today the expansion of its unique interactive history of the satellite industry in partnership with Access Intelligence, publisher of SatelliteTODAY and Via Satellite magazine. The Satellite Timeline (www.sathistory.com) presents, in an easy-to-use interactive format, the technological, engineering and business achievements of the companies, governments and scientific institutions that built the satellite industry.
Through partnership with Access Intelligence, the Timeline’s interactive content now links to articles in the archive of SatelliteTODAY to provide users with a new level of depth and perspective on critical developments in commercial and government satellite technology, systems, law and markets. From the launch of Sputnik 1 to the completion of the first global satellite network, the entrepreneurship that opened up competition in international satellite communications to milestones in satellite size, power and complexity, the Timeline and SatelliteTODAY present the events, the players and the step-by-step progress that created today's vibrant satellite business and continues to advance the state of the art in technology and services.
As part of the partnership, the SatelliteTODAY Career Center has become the official online job center for SSPI. The SatelliteTODAY Career Center includes more than 1,000 job openings, a resume bank and career-related resources, and provides SSPI Corporate Sponsors a 15% discount on job postings placed through www.sspi.org.
The Satellite Timeline also serves as a branding platform for companies looking to gain visibility for their achievements and promote their products and services to the satellite industry.
