Nick Mitsis

Nick entered the satellite industry as a reporter for Via Satellite where he covered stories ranging from how satellite technology enabled African economic growth to showcasing how Schlumberger’s satellite network propelled the oil industry juggernaught into becoming the sector’s leading service provider. His ability to network at every level was acknowledged when he was promoted to editor and later to Chairman of the annual SATELLITE conference, overseeing the development of the program, recruiting speakers and moderating the CEO panel. In 2006, Nick joined Intelsat and has successfully elevated Intelsat’s in-region visibility through a pro-active PR campaign. Beyond his day-to-day responsibilities, Nick has taken on a leadership role in the SSPI Mid-Atlantic Chapter, where he encourages young satellite professionals to take an active role in the industry.
