From Strasbourg to Space

Strasbourg, France – This year ISU will celebrate its 20th promotion of the Master in Space Studies (MSS) classes. At the same time the new NASA astronaut selection for commercial astronauts has been announced. One of the astronauts receiving flight status, after being preselected by NASA in 2013, is Dr. Jessica Meir.

Jessica U. Meir, Ph.D., is from Caribou, Maine (USA). She is a graduate of Brown University and earned her doctorate from Scripps Institution of Oceanography. She currently is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. (Photo credit: NASA)

However, it is also important to point out that Jessica was an MSS graduate in the class of 2000 here at ISU in Strasbourg with outstanding marks.

In interviews she stresses this part of her international and intercultural experience very highly.

ISU is preparing its students for a wide variety of careers in the space sector, but is also very pleased to announce that another alumna, thanks to the ISU experience in Strasbourg, may reach higher atmospheres….
