International Events: we list the BSN networking events in the same list as all the SSPI and international chapter events. This enables those that travel to benefit from our events anywhere in the world. This is a great benefit of the SSPI structure and of the warmth the SSPI HQ staff shows us. No xenophobia here, but then satellites are xenophiles aren't they... by the very technology which crosses boundaries so effectively. The UK events are typically held at the office of a sponsoring host who might give us a presentation of their activities followed by a relaxed cocktail where members can get to know each other and the host company… the best of learning something new and being able to network in the industry. From time to time we have been privileged to benefit from exceptional hospitality. In March 2007 SES Astra provided air tickets for 40 UK based members to travel to Luxembourg for a day of briefings and hospitality at the Astra control centre and headquarters at the Chateau de Betzdorf.
