This graduate student in Georgia Tech's School of Electrical and Computer Engineering has studied at NASA, designed HD video links for the Google Lunar X Prize and interned with Orbital Sciences, where he worked in the RF engineering group on the Commercial Orbital Transportation Services program. An air traffic controller with the Federal Aviation Administration in the Southwest, Nancy sought a Masters of Aeronautical Science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, with the support of SSPI, and concentrated on space studies and safety systems to prepare for a career in the space community.  | | Luis Fernando Carrasco. Fernando is the 2007 PSSC Legacy Fund Scholarship winner. Originally from Mexico, he pursued with SSPI's help an MS degree in Communications Technology and Policy at Ohio University. With a background as a teleport engineer in California, he has also worked as a satellite network consultant on broadband Internet access projects in Mexico. Fabio received the Broadcasting and Satellite Network scholarship from SSPI's UK Chapter in norder to pursue Ph.D. studies at the University of Surry in the UK. He is co-author of an AIAA paper "DVB-RCS Mobility Management in Vehicular Satellite Networks" and expected his graduate studies to focus on the management of link layer and network layer mobility in GEO networks.
